Day 13--Walking Jerusalem

Today was a pretty hang-loose day.  We did a lot of walking around town and I only went into the old city for a short time.  Our hotel has a wonderful breakfast buffet.  Here's part of it.

This shopping area had tons of art right out on the walkways.

Connie and I walked up to the old Jerusalem YMCA which is still spectacular.

I noticed a Lion of Judah on top of the Post Office and a much different wooden lion on a department store.  Both are cool.

Lots of the pedestrian walkways have decorations strung above.  I like our umbrellas best, but here are a few more.

I ended the day with a walk through the market.  The spice smells are wonderful.

  1. I love the street coverings. Had lunch with Burke and Woodward. They want to know when you are home! I think they want our Wednesday lunches to go back to normal.
What a great trip you are having! I hope you are missing all our election coverage. That would be a God's blessing in and of itself!! But Hilary's ahead. Thank God.
