My former doctoral student and her husband met us and Connie and I are staying with them for three days.
Rawia and Hashim are such gracious host. We started with a wonderful meal and then wandered through their prosperous village. There entire extended family on both sides lives in the village. As we walked around town they knew everyone. They took us to their olive tree grove.
Their olive orchard is up on a hill where you can get a view of the town.
They then took us to see a magnificent sunset.
We walked through the old part of the village--very charming.
We then went to Rawia's parents house for wonderful homemade treats. They were delicious!
It was a great day.
